On September 27th, an international conference on nanotechnologies called NANOCZECH Liberec 2023 took place at the Technical University of Liberec. The event was held on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Liberec University, which introduced industrial production of nanofibers twenty years ago. NANOCZECH is the largest conference of its kind in our territory, under the auspices of Minister of Science, Research, and Innovation Helena Langšádlová, Minister of Industry and Trade Jozef Síkela, Minister of Foreign Affairs Jan Lipavský, Governor of the Liberec Region Martin Půta, and Rector of the Technical University in Liberec Miroslav Brzezina.

Through the surfaces of SKI365 at NANOCZECH The conference was open to both experts and the general public, who had the opportunity to attend expert lectures, discussions, and an associated trade fair of nanotechnology companies. These companies presented the best nanotechnology businesses and startups from all over the Czech Republic, especially members of the Association of Nanotechnology Industry of the Czech Republic. NanoTrade Ltd., as one of the founding members, brought two of its brands.
In the G building of the Technical University (TUL), at the entrance, we introduced the project of year-round skiing, SKI365. It’s a dynamically growing project that brings skiing closer to people, both beginners and professionals. Everyone could finally experience this technology firsthand on the other side of the country. This represents successfully realized research transferred into industrial production of surfaces for year-round skiing, as well as technology for skiing, snowboarding, and cross-country skiing trainers.

Even after 19 years on the market, we continue to bring innovations in the form of material modifications (polymers, granules, nanoproducts for surface improvement), air purification technology, and many other practical outputs.

The presentation was complemented by a unique display of fiber images from an electron microscope, which could be viewed using one’s own phone.
